Shipping to Europe
New Harmonized Code Requirement for the EU
As of March 1, 2023, all shipments to and passing through most countries in the EU will require HS (Harmonized System) codes included on customs forms along with a more detailed description of the package contents.
Shipping Internationally (excluding Europe)
When filling out customs forms for international shipping, our company requires that we describe what type of products we are shipping and not the name of the products itself. For example, we are required to fill out the description of "Hawk Vitamins", "Pigeon Vitamins", "Dog Vitamins", etc. and not the name of a particular product such as "Raptor Boost" or "Pigeon Breeder" etc.
These descriptions are required by the Federal Trade Commission Part 500: Regulations Under Section 4 of the Fair Packaging and Labeling Act
